John Tepedino Promoted to Partner
Windels Marx is pleased to announce that John J. Tepedino has been promoted to Partner.
John is resident in the New York office and focuses his practice on bankruptcy litigation, including as an important part of Windels Marx’s team representing the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities. In this capacity, he has led dozens of adversary proceedings resulting in the recovery of millions of dollars for the victims of Madoff’s fraud. John has also handled a variety of matters in Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcies, more broadly, including general estate administration, debtor asset sales, and the prosecution and resolution of avoidance actions, and litigated complex non-bankruptcy commercial disputes to favorable outcomes.
Prior to joining Windels Marx, John was an associate in the New York office of Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where he focused on U.S. and cross-border corporate investigations and securities litigation.
John received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School (2004), and his A.B., cum laude, in government from Harvard University (1995). He is admitted to practice in New York, SDNY and EDNY.
