Lisa has been practicing law for decades as a complex-commercial litigator, and intellectual property and entertainment attorney. She is also a member of the Windels Marx team representing the SIPA Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities.
Representative Experience
Complex-Commercial Litigation: Successfully litigated cases in federal and state court and arbitration in disputes arising in a large array of subject matter areas.
Intellectual Property: Expertise litigating trademark, copyright and trade secrets matters. Proficient at drafting trademark and copyright licenses, software licensing agreements and related documents.
Entertainment Law/Music: Expertise representing and counseling performers and celebrities in litigation and transactional matters. Experienced music lawyer representing music publishers, record companies, recording artists, songwriters and performers in litigation and transactional matters.
Securities Enforcement and Government Investigations: Represented officers and former officers of publicly traded companies in SEC formal order of investigation; conducted corporate internal corporate investigations; defended civil actions alleging federal securities fraud violations against corporations and officers.
Employment: Comprehensive experience litigating employment-related issues (i.e., breach of contract, non-competition, separation and severance, indemnification, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements), drafting executive employment agreements and related agreements and counseling clients on employee handbooks, sexual harassment policies.
Prior to Windels Marx, Lisa founded Buckley Law, PLLC. Prior to that, for many years she was a partner in a highly regarded midsize NYC firm known for complex-commercial litigation, IP and entertainment law.
