Experience
Michael focuses on the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of a variety of credit products, including broadly syndicated corporate loans, asset-based loans, cash flow loans, trade and supply-chain finance, the purchase and sale of individual loans and loan portfolios, and the workout of troubled assets. His clients include money-center and regional banks, foreign banks, investment funds and finance companies.

- $80 million senior secured revolving credit facility to the US subsidiaries of a foreign apparel manufacturer.
- $45 million senior secured revolving credit facility to an importer and distributor of chemicals and its European subsidiaries.
- $15 million senior secured credit facility to a sponsor-backed graphics and communications company.
Senior Secured C&I
- $80 million term loan to the owner/operator of aircraft simulators.
- $60 million line of credit to a large retailer of electronic equipment.
- $42 million term loan to a sponsor-backed metal recycler.
- $25 million term loan and revolving credit facility to a leading manufacturer of specialized components for the auto industry.
Energy Efficiency and Green Energy
- $50 million committed line to purchase portfolios of on-bill pay energy efficiency loans made by a utility to commercial and governmental customers.
- $30 million senior secured term loan to an investment firm that builds, operates and manages energy and transportation projects that support decarbonization, to finance five renewable energy projects.
- $22.5 million senior secured revolving credit facility to a 501(c)(3) special purpose entity to fund its residential energy efficiency financing and renewable loan program.
- $7.5 million senior secured term loan to a financing vehicle, serviced by cash flows from a pool of unsecured home energy efficiency loans.
Social Impact Lending
- $11.75 million senior secured term loan and revolver to an operator of substance abuse treatment programs for low income individuals with opioid use disorders.
- $7 million senior secured revolver to support the acquisition by a financial sponsor of a provider of residential and educational services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- $3 million senior secured revolver to a sponsor-backed provider of home care services.
